Reduce work day friction
Put project management into the flow of work. Keep project work moving without constantly switching between Teams and Mission Control.
- Less application switching
- Less administrative friction
- Better project data capture
Work directly in Teams for a smarter workflow.
Your project teams already spend their day collaborating in Teams. The Mission Control Teams App lets them manage key project responsibilities there too.
The Mission Control Teams App is an add-on application for Mission Control that enables licensed users to interact with Mission Control directly from Teams.
Team members can create and access project information and see what needs attention, all without constantly switching between applications or leaving their flow of work.

Put project management into the flow of work. Keep project work moving without constantly switching between Teams and Mission Control.

Pull and Push information directly from your Teams channels. Give your team another way to interact with Mission Control from where they already collaborate.

Easily turn project conversations into project actions. Capture important project activity while the information is fresh and the conversation is still happening.
Let your team complete everyday project activities directly within Teams instead of continually moving between their collaboration and project management applications. Less context switching means less disruption and more time focused on productive project work.
Project reporting is only as useful as the information behind it. Making it easier to capture Actions, Issues, Risks, time, expenses and other project information when they occur can help reduce the likelihood of important data being delayed or forgotten. Better inputs create a stronger foundation for project visibility, reporting and decision-making.
Project Managers shouldn't have to be the human interface between project information and everyone who needs it. The Mission Control Teams App enables team members and managers to access useful project information themselves, including project status, open Risks and Issues, Actions and timesheet information. Give people easier access to answers and give Project Managers more time to manage projects.
Small interruptions add up. When routine project administration happens inside the tools your team already uses, people can complete those responsibilities with less disruption to their working day. That means less friction around project management and more time available for productive work.
An Issue identified today is more valuable when it's recorded today rather than reconstructed at the end of the week. By bringing project inputs closer to the conversations where work happens, teams can capture important information while it is still current. That can give Project Managers a more timely view of what's really happening across their projects.
Better project outcomes depend on visibility and action. When Risks and Issues are captured earlier, work is easier to track and project information is more accessible, teams and Project Managers are better equipped to identify problems and respond. The Mission Control Teams App helps turn everyday project activity into structured project data that can support better decisions and more predictable delivery.

Together, the Input and Output tools create a more connected project management experience. Your teams can spend less time navigating between systems and more time moving projects forward.
Create project information from Teams. Make everyday project administration easier by enabling your team to create Mission Control records directly from Teams.
Time tracking shouldn’t require your team to stop what they’re doing, open another application and find the right Project and Action.
With the Mission Control Teams App, users can create Time Logs directly from Teams using the Log Time feature. Complete the appropriate information and the Time Log is created in Mission Control. Once saved successfully, Teams confirms that the record has been created and provides the option to open it directly in Mission Control.
Less friction. Better time tracking. More accurate project information.
Make it easier for project team members to keep their Expenses up to date.
The Log Expense feature enables users to create Expenses directly from Teams. Users complete the required Expense information and save the record straight into Mission Control. Once created, Teams provides confirmation along with the ability to open the Expense directly in Mission Control.
By bringing expense administration into the flow of work, teams have a more convenient way to keep important project financial information current.
Projects move forward through Actions—and many of those Actions originate in conversations between team members.
The Add Action feature lets users create new Actions against Projects directly from Teams. Capture the work that needs to happen, assign responsibility and add the information your team needs to manage the Action in Mission Control.
Once created, the Teams App confirms the new Action and provides a direct route back to the record in Mission Control.
An Issue identified but not recorded can quickly become a bigger project problem.
With Add Issue, your team can create Issues from within Teams, capturing important information while the Issue is being discussed rather than relying on somebody to remember to update the Project later.
The configurable component can capture information such as Status, Priority, Category, Issue Notes, Impact and Resolution information. That helps Project Managers maintain a more timely view of the obstacles affecting delivery.
Good Risk Management starts with capturing potential problems early.
The Add Risk feature enables project team members to create new Risks directly from Teams and record information such as the Risk Owner, Current Status, Category, Impact Rating, Probability Rating, Counter Measures and Risk Notes.
Once saved, the Risk is created in Mission Control and can be opened directly from Teams. Make it easier for your team to move from “this could become a problem” to a Risk that can be actively monitored and managed.
Customer and stakeholder requirements often emerge during everyday project conversations.
The Add Requirement feature helps ensure those requirements don’t disappear into meeting notes and message threads. Capture the Requirement directly from Teams, including information such as Priority, Category, Requirement Notes, Recommendations and expected Benefit, and create the corresponding record within Mission Control.
Requirements must relate to a Program, so the associated Project needs to be related to a Program to use the feature.
When a Project needs additional capacity or specialist expertise, make it easier to get the resource management process moving.
The Add Resource Request feature lets users create Resource Requests directly from Teams. The component can capture information such as Function, Reason for Request, Start and End Dates, Working Days and Billable or Non-Billable requirements, with the fields controlled through the applicable Mission Control Field Set.
That helps turn an emerging resource need into structured information that can be managed within Mission Control.
Provide Project Managers, team members and managers quicker access to project information, directly within Teams & without asking someone else to find it for them.
Give team members a clearer picture of their work without requiring them to piece it together themselves.
The Daily Digest brings a personalised summary of Mission Control activity directly into Teams, helping users understand the work and project administration requiring their attention.
It's a convenient way to bring important information into the working environment your team already has open—helping people stay organised and focused on what comes next.
Give Project Managers, team members and stakeholders faster access to a snapshot of project progress.
The Status Report provides an overview of an individual Project, including overall Project progress and progress across its Milestones and individual Actions.
Instead of leaving Teams to search through project records, users can surface the Project Status Report where they're already collaborating.
Project teams need visibility of unresolved Issues if they're going to address them before they cause further disruption.
The Open Issues feature provides a summary of outstanding Issues associated with an individual Project directly within Teams.
That gives your team an easy way to keep blockers visible and focus conversations on the Issues that still need to be resolved.
Risks are easier to manage when they're visible to the people responsible for delivery.
Use Open Risks to surface outstanding project Risks within Teams, making it easier for Project Managers and team members to understand potential threats to delivery and keep Risk conversations connected to everyday project collaboration.
Better Risk visibility can support earlier intervention and better-informed project decisions.
Resource availability matters when you're coordinating project work.
The Holidays view gives teams visibility of Holidays scheduled for This Week and Next Week, excluding rejected requests and identifying Holidays that are still pending approval.
That gives Project Managers and team members useful short-term availability information directly within Teams, helping them plan work around who's actually going to be available.
Give team members an easy way to check whether their project time is up to date.
The My Timesheet feature displays a summary of the user's Time Logs created for the current week directly within Teams.
Combined with the ability to log time through the Teams App, users have a convenient way to both record and review their project time from the same working environment.
Managers and Timesheet Approvers need to know whether project time is being captured accurately and consistently.
My Team Timesheet provides a summary of Time Logs created during the current week for team members where the user's Role is configured as their Timesheet Approver.
That provides a convenient way to monitor team time recording from Teams and identify where follow-up may be required.
Make it easier for team members to understand the work currently assigned to them.
The My Actions feature provides a summary of outstanding Actions assigned to the user for an individual Project. It includes Actions where the user is an Owner or Contributor, the Start Date has been reached, and the Action isn't Complete or Cancelled.
Users can also move directly from an Action to Log Time, helping connect project execution with time tracking.
One of the biggest challenges with any project management system isn’t what the software can do.
It’s getting everyone to keep it updated.
When entering project information requires people to interrupt what they’re doing, open another application, find the right record and enter the information, it’s easy for administration to be postponed.
The Mission Control Teams App reduces that friction by putting common project management tools directly into the team’s flow of work.
The easier it is to contribute, the more opportunity you have to keep project information current, giving Project Managers and leaders stronger information on which to base their decisions.

The Mission Control Teams App is an add-on module for Mission Control, extending key Mission Control capabilities into your Teams workspace. Your projects, records and reporting stay exactly where they are — your team just gets another way to reach them.

To use the application, users require a Mission Control license and a Teams license, and Salesforce Channels must be enabled. Teams App licenses can be assigned according to your organisation's requirements, so you don't need to give a Teams App license to every Mission Control user.

Input Components use configurable Field Sets, so administrators control the fields presented to users for activities such as logging time, recording expenses and creating project records. Each team captures what matters to them, and nothing they don't need.
Less administration.
Better project data.
Less chasing.
More productive project teams.
Better project outcomes.
The Mission Control Teams App is an add-on module that brings key Mission Control project management tools directly into Microsoft Teams.
It enables project team members to create information in Mission Control and access project information from within Teams, helping them carry out everyday project management activities without continually switching between applications. The goal is simple: put project management tools directly into the flow of work.
The Mission Control Teams App provides both Input Tools and Output Tools.
Input Tools enable users to Log Time, Log Expenses and create Actions, Issues, Risks, Requirements and Resource Requests. Output Tools enable users to access their Daily Digest, Project Status Reports, Open Issues, Open Risks, Holidays, My Timesheet, My Team Timesheet and My Actions.
Together, these capabilities provide a two-way interaction with Mission Control from Microsoft Teams.
Project teams often spend much of their working day collaborating in Microsoft Teams. Having to continually leave that environment to update Mission Control can interrupt the flow of work and add unnecessary administration.
The Mission Control Teams App lets users complete common project management activities directly from Teams, reducing application switching and making routine administration easier to fit into the working day. This can help teams spend less time on project administration and more time focused on project delivery.
The easier it is for people to update project information, the more opportunity there is to capture that information when it’s fresh.
The Teams App enables project team members to record information such as Time Logs, Expenses, Actions, Issues and Risks directly from Teams. This reduces the risk of updates being delayed, forgotten or never recorded, helping Mission Control maintain a more timely picture of what’s happening across your Projects.
Better project information can give Project Managers greater visibility and support better-informed decisions throughout project delivery.
Yes. The Teams App brings Mission Control functionality into Microsoft Teams—it doesn’t replace Mission Control.
Input features create records within Mission Control, while Output features surface information held within Mission Control back to users in Teams. For example, when a Time Log is successfully created through Teams, the record is saved in Mission Control and the user can open the newly created record directly from Teams.
This means your project information can continue to be managed centrally in Mission Control while your team gets a more convenient way to interact with it.
The Teams App gives Project Team Members and Managers direct access to useful project information without always relying on the Project Manager to gather and distribute it.
Features including Daily Digest, Status Report, Open Issues, Open Risks, My Actions, My Timesheet and My Team Timesheet make project information more accessible within Teams. For example, Status Report provides an overview of overall Project progress as well as progress across Milestones and individual Actions.
That can mean fewer requests for routine updates and more time for Project Managers to focus on planning, stakeholder management, risk management and successful project delivery.
Yes. The Mission Control Teams App’s Input Components use Field Sets, enabling administrators to control which fields are included in the components.
Field Sets are available for features including Log Time, Log Expense, Add Action, Add Issue, Add Risk, Add Requirement and Add Resource Request. This enables organisations to configure the information captured through Teams to better align with their Mission Control setup and project management processes.
Individual users first authenticate into Salesforce to connect the Mission Control Teams App.
To use Mission Control functionality within a Teams Channel, a Mission Control record is linked to that Channel. Once the record is linked, users can access the applicable Input and Output commands within that project context.
Users can invoke Mission Control functionality in several ways, including entering a command, @mentioning Mission Control or selecting Mission Control from the available Teams commands.
No. Teams App licenses can be assigned based on your organisation’s requirements, and there is no requirement for a 1:1 match between your Mission Control licenses and Teams App licenses.
This means you can provide the Teams App specifically to the people who will benefit from accessing Mission Control functionality through Microsoft Teams, rather than having to license your entire Mission Control user base.
Mission Control Teams App is a paid Mission Control add-on. Pricing is $5 USD per user, per month when billed monthly, or $4 USD per user, per month when billed annually.
To use the Mission Control Teams App, a person must have a Mission Control license and a Microsoft Teams license.
This flexible licensing approach means you can start with the teams and users who spend the most time working in Microsoft Teams and expand adoption as required.
