Dreamforce Keynote – Salesforce Building Toward Artificial General Intelligence (AI) For Business: CEO Marc Benioff

The founder, CEO and chairman Marc Benioff, just unveiled the most recent version of their AI system, Einstein. Both Einstein Copilot and Einstein Copilot Studio are now part of Einstein.

Einstein Copilot is a new generative AI conversational assistant that Salesforce is bringing natively into its CRM and all supported apps, allowing it to help with a wide range of application-specific tasks. Users will be able to ask questions in natural language and receive pertinent, reliable responses that are based on secure, confidential company data from Salesforce Data Cloud.

Additionally, beyond the user’s initial enquiry, Einstein Copilot proactively presents alternatives for extra activities, such as a suggested action plan following a sales call or the creation of a new service knowledge article.

With the help of Einstein Copilot Studio, businesses can quickly create a brand-new generation of AI-powered apps with custom prompts, skills, and AI models to speed up customer service, automate website creation based on user-specific browsing patterns, convert natural language prompts into code, and perform hundreds of other business functions.

Additionally, Einstein Copilot Studio will also provide configurability to make Einstein Copilot available for use across other consumer-facing channels like websites to power real-time chat, Slack, WhatsApp, or SMS, according to a Salesforce press release.

Later this year, Einstein Copilot and Einstein Copilot Studio will be available in a pilot programme. These products will work within the Einstein Trust Layer, a secure AI architecture that is native to Salesforce and enables teams to produce higher-quality AI results by grounding responses in customer data while maintaining the data privacy and security standards of their organisation.

According to Salesforce COO Brian Millham in an interview with Bloomberg, Salesforce is considering a significant hiring drive as it prepares to push some of its well-liked products, including the Data Cloud, and invest in emerging fields like generative AI. The plan to hire 3,300 new employees by Salesforce is expected to restore nearly 40% of the staff laid off during the 10% workforce reduction in January.

Marc Benioff also covered off on the recent launch of Einstein GPT. By combining proprietary Einstein AI models with ChatGPT or other leading large language models, customers can use natural-language prompts on CRM data to trigger powerful, time-saving automations, and create personalized, AI-generated content.

  • Einstein GPT for Slack Customer 360 apps: Deliver AI-powered customer insights in Slack like smart summaries of sales opportunities and surface end users actions like updating knowledge articles.
  • Einstein GPT for Developers: Improve developer productivity with Salesforce Research’s proprietary large language model by using an AI chat assistant to generate code and ask questions for languages like Apex.

In order to do specific tasks like developing digital storefronts, writing bespoke code, producing data visualisations, or giving sales representatives advice on how to quickly close transactions, Einstein Copilot will produce reliable and accurate suggestions and information. To guarantee that Einstein Copilot makes educated and precise judgements, it is securely grounded with customer data from Salesforce Data Cloud, including customer data, enterprise content, telemetry data, Slack chats, and other structured and unstructured data.

Other generative AI copilot solutions existed before Einstein Copilot, but they required running as separate programmes that were not linked into the workflow and could not readily or securely leverage trusted corporate data to produce consistent or relevant outputs from big language models. For more precise AI-powered suggestions and content, Einstein Copilot will be completely integrated into the AI CRM and access data from any Salesforce application.

It can do account research, meeting preparation, and Salesforce account information updates automatically. Automated highlights summaries, customer sentiment analysis, and next steps extraction from video conversations are all possible. Instead of skimming through transcripts, listen to customer calls and look for key nuances. Create sales emails automatically and customise them to the context of the consumer. Create provisions automatically, then include them into client contracts.

Any prefered channel, such as email, SMS, live chat, or social media, may automatically react to clients with customised, pertinent replies based on trusted corporate information. Using generative solutions that are easily integrated into their work flow and that enable service teams to execute activities like auto-summarizing complex support cases and field work orders, you can help them handle customer concerns more quickly.
