We are excited to announce the upcoming release of Mission Control Version 1.69, which will be available on the AppExchange starting Friday, 30th August 2024. This release brings a host of new features and enhancements designed to streamline your project management experience. Here’s a summary of what’s new:
Key New Features
- Project Time Logs PDF: Generate comprehensive PDFs of time logs directly from the Project Overview, allowing you to share detailed time records with clients effortlessly.
- Time Log Rejections: Manage rejected time logs with ease using a dedicated Rejections tab on the Timesheet, where you can edit and resubmit entries.
- Expense Rejections: Similar to time logs, rejected expenses can now be viewed, edited, and resubmitted via a new Rejections list view.
- Daily Digest Enhancements: The Daily Digest email has been upgraded to include more detailed summaries, such as checklist items, risks, and issues, giving you a better overview of your daily tasks.
- Project Overview Filters: Apply filters to the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) on the Project Overview, helping you focus on specific tasks by excluding completed or irrelevant records.
- Holiday Exclusions: A new feature that allows specific roles to be excluded from team-wide holidays, ideal for employees who opt to work or contractors who aren’t entitled to holidays.
- Scheduler Enhancements: Several improvements have been made to the Scheduler, including quick creation of actions and holidays, more control over the display of holiday information, and the ability to reschedule contributor assignments.
- Meeting Manager Enhancements: The Meeting Manager now allows meetings to be linked to specific projects, collapsible sections for better navigation, and new quick-create options for agenda tasks.
- Meeting Notes Enhancements: Customize the headers, attendees, and task comments in the Meeting Notes PDF, making it easier to align meeting documentation with your brand.
- Project Launch Wizard Enhancements: The Project Launch Wizard now supports additional custom fields, making it easier to tailor the project creation process to your specific needs.
Minor Enhancements
- Warning Icon Fields: New formula fields display warning icons on records when milestones or actions are overdue or approaching deadlines.
- Time Log Rate Source Fields: Two new fields on the Time Log Object provide clarity on the rates used to calculate billable and cost values.
- Billing Event PDF Enhancements: Customize the fields displayed in the Time Log and Expense appendices on the Billing Event PDF, ensuring that only relevant information is shared.
- New Validation Rules: Several validation rules have been added to ensure data integrity, including rules for preventing unauthorized edits to invoiced or approved time logs.
- Track Pad Height Attribute: Customize the height of the Track Pad component on Lightning Pages for better visual alignment.
- Revenue Recognition Polling Setting: A new setting improves performance when loading large data sets in the Revenue Recognition tab, making it easier to manage financials across multiple projects.
Upgrade Instructions
Mission Control will be made available based on the following release schedule.
30th August 2024 – Available for manual upgrade from the AppExchange
14th September 2024 – Automatic upgrade to all Sandbox Orgs
28th September 2024 – Automatic upgrade to all Production Orgs
To upgrade to Version 1.69 prior to the above Sandbox/Production rollout schedule, visit the AppExchange on or after 30th August 2024, and follow the upgrade instructions provided. As always, we recommend backing up your data before performing any upgrades.
