What were you using prior to Mission Control?
We were using a Spanish project management system called QBI. It did not have Gantt chart functionality, and task management was extremely limited. Development team was also siloed from the Originations team—lots of data was being entered manually into both systems. QBI was also extremely slow to load. Everyone hated using it, so information was constantly missing or outdated.
What challenges were you facing before using Mission Control?
Siloed data between teams, missing data, no ability to verify data integrity or quality, no insight into business relationships, manual creation and upkeep of reports.
Why did you choose Mission Control?
Mission Control positions itself as task-oriented and Gantt chart forward. Mission Control also slotted well into our existing workflows and data infrastructure. We already had a Project custom object, I simply had to swap out the relationships from our custom Projects object to the Mission Control Projects object and set up templates.
At first I was concerned about starting only with a single feature ‘set’ (Projects/Gantt Charts) and saving the rest of the relevant Mission Control suite (Budgets, Risk Logs, Issues, Teams) for later initiatives. But Mission Control is a modular plugin – it includes all this well-thought out functionality, but you’re not forced to use anything that you don’t need.
How has Mission Control helped?
Mission Control has streamlined the inclusion of more of the company into Salesforce. It is now THE single source of truth in our organization. In addition, it has been flexible enough to handle a variety of workflow quirks.
How would you rate your interactions with the team at Mission Control?
The team has always been incredibly responsive, both our account representative as well as email support. We are very cost-conscious as an organization, and we rarely have available Mission Control seats for incoming employees; every time I’ve emailed for an ‘urgent’ addition in licenses, they have been added within the business day.
